Posted January 7, 2013 - The Harford County Liquor Control Board accepted fines last week from three restaurants that sold alcohol to minors and approved the closure of an Aberdeen hotel's restaurant and nightclub.
Three eateries paid fines for liquor violations totaling $2,500 to the board, as approved by the board's at its most recent meeting in Bel Air on Wednesday, Jan. 2.

The restaurant and nightclub at Clarion Hotel in Aberdeen have been closed, at least until the end of March, for economic reasons, according to the board. County liquor laws require that when a licensed establishment closes for any reason, the liquor board must be notified and approve the closure.
Herb's on the Curb in Havre de Grace provided an update on the transfer of its liquor license. The business is still waiting on the settlement of sale to move forward with a transfer.
The board also approved a one-day beer and wine license for Harford Artists Association for a gallery reception at the Cottage at Rockfield in Bel Air on Jan. 12.
